ABOUT ME

My background and Experience

DSC_0778_edited.jpg

Hi I am Fern and I am a Virtual PA. This means I am fully engaged in most, if not all, of the daily tasks necessary for my clients to operate their businesses or lives efficiently and effectively. Most importantly, as a vital member of your team, I am just as invested in your business, or life succeeding as you are.

I began my career over 20 years ago as an Office Junior in a Letting Agency, working my way up to Office Manager. This fast‑paced and varied role demanded strong organisational skills, the ability to work independently, excellent customer service, and the confidence to manage a team.  From there, I went on to set up and run my own company providing property maintenance and rentals administration services.  After having my daughter, I chose to pause self‑employment and focus on a role that better suited that stage of life.

I then became a Property Support Manager and Assistant to a Director, where I organised staff, managed outsourcing requirements, delivered weekly social media updates, and supported the Director with deadlines and PA responsibilities.

After two decades in Property Management, I was ready for a new challenge and qualified as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser. Although I quickly realised the adviser role wasn’t the right fit, I moved into a Case Manager position, supporting other advisers and assisting with PA duties — reaffirming where my strengths truly lie.

This led me to become an Executive Assistant to a Deputy Chief Executive and CFO of a national organisation, a role that confirmed what I had always known: the personal assistant profession is where I belong.

I am proud to have achieved over 95% five‑star customer reviews throughout my career.

Alongside my professional work, I am an avid animal lover and have completed multiple qualifications in dog behaviour and training, from loose‑lead walking to independent modern dog training. It’s a passion that brings balance, joy, and a unique warmth to everything I do.
